The house was originally a family farm established in the 1800’s and stayed in the family until 2020. One of the first homes in the community and was the first with indoor plumbing. The back apartment is a one bedroom, one bath apartmen

t with a full kitchen. Laundry, wifi, large yard with lots of parking and gorgeous views from both places. The house is just steps away from the beach and lighthouse. Both places are weekly rentals. The house is $175 a night. Minimum 7 nights

Well behaved pets are welcome. We offer grocery and supply drop offs for people that are quartining. Port George is only 15 minutes to Middleton, Highway #1 and the #101. Less than 20 minutes to Greenwood and 90 minutes to HRM and the airport. Port George is the only place on the Nova Scotia side of the Bay of Fundy where you can drive for several kilometres along the shore while enjoying magnificent sunsets. The original name given to Port George by the native Mi'Kmaq was "Goolwagopskooch" meaning "Haunt of the Hooded Seal".Originally settled in 1760. Recognizable landmarks along its shoreline are the historic pepper pot lighthouse and the steeple of the old United Baptist church. The lighthouse at Port George is owned by the community. It was built in 1888 and is still an important navigational aid used by ships in the area. The lighthouse was renovated in the summer of 2016 by the community. Just down the road a 3 minute drive is the Cottage Cove provincial picnic park. It overlooks a seal colony that likes to lay in the sun on Dunn's Rock. Nearby is the community wharf with a new concrete boat ramp. One of few along this stretch of coastline. The Port George Country Jamboree is a very popular summer outdoor concert that draws around 4000 visitors. The jamboree is 11 hours of country music along with a flea market that hosts 200 tables with camping and great food.
