My friends and I had a wonderful experience staying at Robert's Sailor's Rest. It's a small cottage off the beaten path and overlooks Samson's Cove. Great for privacy or a quiet retreat. The hosts were very welcoming and patiently answered all our questions about the area. Full functioning kitchen (important to our group of four adults) and very comfortable eating in or out on the deck that overlooks the ocean. For those who are over 6 feet tall, take note of low doorways/beams throughout. The rules list, as we suspected, is not as daunting as it seems - the hosts clearly care about their space and want to keep it looking nice. We would return in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at Sailors rest, the house is in a beautiful location, overlooking the sea at Samsons cove. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, we were made to feel welcome by the neighbours in the cove. We saw lots of wildlife including, Bald eagles, sea otters with young catching fish in the cove, hummingbird and seals. Thank you Robert for being so welcoming.

Sailor’s Rest is a one-of-a-kind piece of paradise. We spent about a month this winter looking for a house on the open ocean in Nova Scotia for our summer vacation and Sailor’s Rest fulfilled our dream.
