Tamihi Meadows Cabins & RV Park Cabins & RV Park on the Chwk River focusing on peace & quiet. There's exc. fishing on our beach & swimming in summer. Pets & big rigs ok & water on site.

Great for ATVs, hikers & whitewater kayakers! The sites include some w/power, group & seasonals. Only 20 minutes from town in the forest along the Chwk River & at the base of Church Mountain. Very popular for ATVer's, hikers & whitewater kayakers & swimming in late summer & world class fishing on our beach! You can launch your Kayak off our beach or ride out our gate directly onto the forest road

to ride the unlimited trails. Our very calm, gentle horses are often free ranged on the site, but not on the really busy weekends. I often come down to entertain the kids (& adults) with my parrot that does a show (when she feels like it!), my pet baby peacock, & sometimes an occasional other farm bird or animal if the weather is decent. Please check our website first as we do have a lot of rules to make sure everyone has a good time. We accept only self-contained units or people that have their own toilet as porta potties are only opened for events or emptying your portable toilet.

The older cabins now have free-running water across the road from the outhouse! As it's overflow from our springs, it will probably be running 90% of the time, but it's not considered potable as it's carried through irrigation hose.

We sadly lost Dragon (Dragonski) our old gelding today. He was 24 yrs old & we'd had him for 20 years. I know some were concerned, as he'd been struggling for the last 6 or so months. He was the ham that would stick his head in people's RVs if they left their doors open! He had a great retirement.

Hughie Heifer, my Black Angus cow is going in for processing later this month if anyone is looking for grass fed (& finished) beef raised on organic fields. No hormones etc used.
This is a very tame cow so isn't going to be terrified when going in, which greatly reduces cortisol in the meat, & is being dispatched on a farm rather than a kill plant. She's not young so will be mostly ground beef @ ($6.50 lb & in 1 lb chubs).
We'll also be having lots of jerky made as well & possibly pepperoni or salami if you want.

It's getting close to being finished! Our newest cabin (tiny house) "The Waddle On Inn", will have a separate porta potty room with a shower, 15 Amp power, bar fridge, tiny sink, a gorgeous antique wood stove & will sleep 6! Sit on the deck & enjoy the beautiful river view!

To anyone interested we are having a games day tomorrow starting at noon (so far) under the covered picnic area (just above the stairs to the beach). We will be playing Hand & Foot Canasta & possibly Catan (Cities & Knights). There are many other games available if you prefer, (Game of Thrones, Rummoli, Rook, Skip Bo, Phase 10, Dutch Blitz etc).
**The players will be having a pot luck dinner/BBQ afterwards.

Here is the update & Airbnb link on the Trailer Trash Tacky Shack! (We still have more we're going do, but it is being rented out now!) There is a very comfortable memory foam bed, & lots of fairy lights & solar lights & a little foot-powered camp sink. There is a nice porta potty right across the lane 4U2PN2!
