Strathcona County RCMP recover stolen property during search warrant
Sherwood Park, Alta. – On Sept. 12, 2019 at approximately 3:09 p.m. Strathcona County RCMP responded to the Glen Allan Recreation Centre for a theft complaint. The suspect gained entry to a locked locker and took the complaints vehicle keys then stole the vehicle from the parking lot.
Police subsequently attended the complainant’s residence and determined the residence was broken into and several items were stolen. Through video surveillance police identified a very distinct looking vehicle at the complainant’s residence and shortly after, located the same vehicle at a storage facility. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and items from the complainant were located.
A search warrant was executed on a storage locker rented by the suspect. Police located and seized multiple items including bikes, tools, audio equipment, jewelry and sporting equipment.
Trevor Douglas Bennett (46) of Sherwood Park has been charged with:
-Break and enter
-Possession of stolen property (x7)
Bennett was released on a Recognizance and is scheduled to appear on Nov. 6, 2019 in Sherwood Park Provincial Court.
Police have been able to return some of the seized items to their rightful owners, but are still looking to locate additional owners.

Fort Saskatchewan RCMP seek assistance with identifying suspects in robbery
at the Chipman Hotel Bar
Fort Saskatchewan, Alta. – Fort Saskatchewan RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying suspects involved in a robbery at the Chipman Hotel Bar.
On May 15, 2019 at approximately 9:45 p.m., three males entered the Chipman Hotel Bar and ordered drinks. While the bartender was making a drink for one of the male suspects, a second suspect went behind the bar and grabbed the bartender around the neck and said he was robbing him. All three male suspects left the hotel bar with an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and the VLT float box, and fled the scene in a red Pontiac Grand Am believed to have been driven by a fourth female suspect. The red Pontiac Grand Am suspect vehicle has damage to the front passenger side and is missing the front passenger side hubcap.
RCMP Members attended the Chipman Hotel and conducted patrols in and around the surrounding areas but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. Video surveillance and images of the suspects and suspect vehicle were obtained.
They are described as:

· Average build
· Wearing a white ball cap
· White button up collared shirt
· Light blue jeans
· Black jacket
· White sneakers
Suspect #2:
· Male with dark complexion
· Heavy set build
· Light beard
· Wearing a long sleeve dark shirt

· Caucasian male
· Thin build
· Wearing a black hoodie

· Female believed to be caucasian
· Blonde hair

Strathcona County RCMP investigate armed robbery
Strathcona County, Alberta – Strathcona County RCMP are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred this morning at approximately 4:14 a.m. at the Country Boyz Tempo on Highway 16, Sherwood Park.
Two males entered the Country Boyz Tempo where one suspect produced what is believed to be a firearm and demanded cash from the clerk. The second suspect attempted to gain entry to the ATM machine but was unsuccessful. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the cash register. No one was injured during the robbery.
Suspect #1 - Described as average build, 5'11" tall, wearing dark coveralls, dark shoes, grey hoodie and ski mask.
Suspect #2 – Described as average build, wearing dark coloured clothing and white/black sneakers.

Strathcona County RCMP requesting public's assistance in sudden death
Strathcona County, Alberta - Strathcona County RCMP are requesting the public's assistance regarding the death of 34-year-old Myrah (Murray) Whitstone, a trans woman who was connected to the transgender community in Edmonton. Myrah was located deceased near Range Road 213 north of Highway 16 on March 24th, 2018.
The police investigation has identified Myrah's last known whereabouts along 118 Avenue and 83 Street in Edmonton.
On Friday, March 23, 2018 at 12:45 a.m. Myrah was last witnessed interacting with a man in a
light coloured Dodge Journey last seen travelling west along 118 Avenue.
The RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in identifying Myrah's last movements between 12:45 a.m. on March 23, 2018 and 8:00 a.m. on March 24, 2018.
Myrah's cause of death remains undetermined. Police are waiting for toxicology results from the Edmonton Medical Examiner's office.
RCMP are releasing an image of Myrah and the vehicle believed to be associated to Myrah.

Lamont, Alberta – Fort Saskatchewan RCMP continue to investigate a break in to Lamont Pharmacy
Lamont, Alberta – On August 18, 2017 between the hours of 2:45 AM and 3:05 AM a break in occurred at the Lamont Pharmacy. Surveillance video captured three suspects entering the pharmacy with the assistance of an older model Chevrolet Truck. The front doors were removed from the business and entry was gained.
The three suspects were observed to be wearing bulky clothing, masks and gloves. There was a significant amount of pharmaceutical drugs stolen from the store, in excess of 20,000.00 dollars.
