It’s Official! 🎉
Christie Cottage has SOLD!

We have met so many wonderful families, who we have enjoyed seeing year after year! Some of you have been with us since the start, I think that says a lot to our success! We always have boasted how great our rental families were!

We started our rental adventure as a young family in our late 20’s, with a 2 yr old and 6 month old!

Those early seasons were busy Saturdays, but we always knew it was worth it when we would hear how much our rental families loved their stay at our little “yellow, now blue” cottage.
It was a passion project, that we took a lot of pride in ownership, and always strived to improve it!

We enjoyed so many campfires, bbq’s, s’mores and visits at the cottage this past couple weeks...memories to last a lifetime!

Either we were young and ambition or crazy?!...we bought this cottage mid rental season in 2008, just 2 month after we had purchased a university student rental...We took ownership at noon on a Saturday and had 2 hours to do a full “Cottage changeover” to welcome the next set of renters. As our 2 year old ran around exploring, and our 5 month screamed and cried from her stroller, we put on a happy face trying to convince ourselves we were doing the right thing.
Week after week, kids cried as we cleaned...it took us 3 years, and 3 kids to learn we couldn’t manage all 3 properties. Our passion was the cottage rental and the families we get to meet, and the memories we help create. We said goodbye to student rentals, and focused on our little cottage.
We have celebrated 13 successful season of rentals here in Grand Bend. We carefully screen our renters to make sure they are the right fit for our cottage and the neighbourhood we love and respect.
Year after year we continue to reinvest into our property, and do what we can to provide the best rental experience.
Each year gets easier and easier, no longer do we have 3 babies crying....but we have 3 capable kids helping. I’m thankful for their helping hands, and hard work.
Even with the future so unpredictable, and the hard work may not “payoff” this season...we will still continue to show pride in our property.
Let’s hope we can welcome all our wonderful families of 2020!
