To all of our Canadian and US friends planning to cross the border for travel, work, or school don't forget that one of our Blue Water Bridges is closed due to repairs. This means that the other bridge is still operational just reduced to 1 lane. These repairs will be taking place from July 5th to October 5th. If you are still planning to cross the bridge check online for wait times and add that into your travel plans. If you are looking for an alternative route, try the Walpole Island Ferry or head down to Windsor to take the tunnel or Ambassador Bridge!

In addition to their "pre-season coverage" the last couple weekends, Grand Bend Beach Patrol has been busy training, including drills and training evolutions at the beach.

They kick off their regular coverage this Friday, June 16:

Monday - Thursday: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Friday - Sunday: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Holidays: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

We know that you are sitting at home this weekend with a fresh blanket of snow lying all around. It is making you think about booking a holiday somewhere close with one of the best beaches in North America. Yes you are thinking about Grand Bend. Might I suggest that you beat the crowds and reserve your room at the Bluewater Motel. The owners are lovely people who keep their establishment spotless. Just think of yourself lying around their outdoor pool soaking up the rays. There is a great restaurant next door for your convenience. I would like to say that over the years I have had the pleasure of staying here. I have put family and friends up here and they loved it. Clean rooms, great beds, great pull up parking, and close to downtown and the beach. Give them a try you will be impressed.
