Celebrate Remembrance Day in Guelph!

November signifies a time of remembrance and thanks. On November 11, we will honour our veterans and their sacrifices. Our community (and others) is encouraged to support veterans and their families by donating to the Poppy Campaign. Many of our tourism businesses throughout the city are locations where you can get a Poppy.

On November 11, The Royal Canadian Legion Col. John McCrae Memorial Branch 234 will host an outdoor Remembrance Day Ceremony at the McCrae House Memorial Gardens. Following the ceremony at McCrae House, a parade will begin on Farquhar Street at the Guelph Armoury at 9:50 a.m. marching to the Sleeman Centre for a service commencing at 10:15 am. Following the service at the Sleeman Centre, the parade will reform and march to the Guelph Cenotaph at 11:50 am.
