The end of an era…
Today we officially took “Mai Casa” off of all short term rental platforms. It is bittersweet. We’ve had so much fun and met some super cool people over the last almost 3 years of being up and running. But we have found ourselves falling into a niche of being a place of solace for people and families in transitions in their lives. We have taken on more and more direct bookings that have turned into longer bookings and over time have steered us away from shorter term rentals. (The government changes making it harder and harder to run as a short term rental hasn’t helped either).
Whether it has been people in between moves, renovations, break ups, whatever the reason, Mai Casa has turned into a place people can call home while they wait for the next step in their stories. What a privilege it is to be a safe place for so many.
For now our books are closed for the time being and we will post on social media when they open up for the next family to call home for a while!
