A local photographer, captured this shot of the milky way, over Green Lake. I can't believe how many stars her camera picked up. It gives you a little glimpse of how nice the stars look like up here, without all the city lights dulling the view. Amazing!

FYI, to all our guests and possible future guests, WE ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO THE THREAT OF LOCAL FIRES, smoke and ash. It's health and safety first, for us, our animals and guests. We are officially ON EVACTUATION ALERT and they have upgraded to an evacuation order very close to us. If you are planning to travel, please look into the area you are wanting to go, as I know there is a BAN ON RECREATIONAL TRAVEL, as well as various road and highway closures. WE WILL POST ONCE WE CAN AGAIN WELCOME GUESTS TO STAY WITH US.

With these recent hot temperatures, we currently have a FIRE BAN IN EFFECT. As an alternative, campers are bringing propane fire pits. They are safer as they do not spark. We just ask that they not be left unattended. Thank you for keeping our forests safe!
