This year's Winter Blues Boogie, being hosted by the Silvery Slocan Historical Society and Museum, promises to bring the funk and keep the dance floor full by offering up 3 live bands.

Bringing the funk for the night will be Lisalicious and the Four Fathers of Funk.
Formed a year ago, Lisalicious and the Four Fathers of Funk bring high energy and fun to every performance. Leading the band is Lisa Dery, trained actor, singer, and voice teacher.
The band features Lisalicious on lead vocals, Mr. Murray on guitar & vocals, Dave Z on keyboard, Tom on drums & vocals and MegadegaSteph on bass & vocals.
With a lot of live performance experience, the band delivers an electrifying mix of classic pop and funk covers, spanning from the 70s to the 2000s. Lisalicious and the Four Fathers of Funk are sure to keep the audiences dancing and entertained with their dynamic and engaging shows.
The night also will feature the Lazy Poker Blues Band and the Baker Street Blues

🎄🎄Looking forward to an exciting festive Merchant's Night in New Denver on Wednesday 4th December! ❄️❄️

Fun for all the family - visit Santa in the Silvery Slocan Museum 🎅;
stay toasty with free hot dogs and hot chocolate;
take part in the colouring contest;
support our local businesses with some Christmas shopping then have it wrapped by our local Girl Guides;
stop by the Knox Hall where many of our local non-profits have info booths and a fiercely contested local chili contest will be waged!!

Phew, afterwards you can relax in a cosy, comfortable dome and enjoy a peaceful sleep!!

A scenic and historic 40 minute drive from New Denver is our fellow lake community Kaslo. Take a daytrip and explore the shady river trails with the famous magenta bridges, the bustling downtown area and, our personal favourite, the BlueBelle Bistro! This hip Cafe has a pup-friendly patio and an excellent menu.... did I mention the fresh and delicious baked goods?! This beauty is a passionfruit curd bombalini! 😋

The dome gardens are looking great - lush and healthy! The buddlia and Russian sage are full of bees and butterflies and the lawn has never looked so thick and green! 💚 The perfect spot to relax after a busy day of exploring and enjoy supper and wine al fresco 🥂

A happy relief to see blue skies and breathe fresh air once again 😍 Hopefully we are moving closer to our evacuated friends to the south being able to return to their homes. We are grateful to be a part of a community that pulled together and supported each other during the wildfires 😊 We are also grateful to those, local and from afar, that have protected our communities and kept us safe ❤️

Don't forget to bring your wheels!! For family fun and the big kids too, New Denver has an excellent all-wheels park with an asphalt pump track, varying sizes of dirt jumps and a fun trail for ripping around the outside!
