Hello to my wonderful camp community. I wanted to let you know that some of our summer sessions are starting to fill out so please do not hesitate to register. I am excited to bring back our exclusive 2 week sessions and of course the all-gender canoe trips for teen campers.
For camp families that believe their kids have aged-out of camp we are running our Adventure Leadership program. This is a great opportunity for teens to gain certifications and build their leadership skills while having an amazing time.
Teens can make the most of their summer by combining the July Adventure leadership program with the Missinabi Expedition.
I am so excited for all that summer 2022 has to offer.

We want to see as many smiling faces and as much fun as possible at camp this season. We are hoping to run a limited number of camp weeks which leaves many weeks of the season open for custom camp booking.

With fingers crossed we have opened registration for a limited number of camp programs in 2021.
Regular camp programs are scheduled for August and canoe trips for older camper in both July and August.
Plus our adventure leadership program for teens.

At this time there will be no camp deposits or tuition to be paid on registrations. When we can confirm that the programs will be able to run safely this summer all registered families will be contacted.

I know you join me in hopes that this summer will be full of the fun and friendship that is camp.

To my amazing camp family.

Since the announcement Tuesday by our government I have been working my way through calling all of our families currently registered for camp this summer. I will then contact all of our returning camp families not yet registered for camp as it is important for me to connect with all of you.

I join you in the great loss you are feeling about a summer without camp. I am amazed that one single four letter word “camp” can contain so much. There is a universe in those four letters put together.

Four more letters “love”.
Love is support, it is healing, it is being who you are and it is the joy and hope for where you are going.

Camp programs will not be running this summer but we will find a way to connect our camp community and share “camp” and “love” to you all.

Together we can love on each other now and look to a day soon where camp will return.

I am thinking of all of you and can’t wait for the day when the sounds of laughter echo off of Cranberry lake and we can all be together again.

New activity. Frozen block floor shuffleboard.
I think the experiment worked. I will modify it for summer camp fun with bigger blocks of ice and a tarp with permanent markings.
I will also freeze a coloured disk into the ice block. Juice powder was kinda sticky.

Hello camp families. I hope everyone is keeping safe and sane in these difficult times. We at camp are hopeful that things will settle and return to what looks more like normal come time for summer fun.
Until then we have a couple of ideas for what you can do outside besides walking the dog in the woods.
Sadie and I have been making use of the empty parking lots with our version of “parking lot tennis”.
Today we are going to try frisbee golf with the street signs in the abandoned roadways and parking lots of the nearby schools (I don’t think I can hurt a sign with a frisbee)

We would love to hear from our families on this space other ideas for being active and having fun with your team of quaran-kids or quaran-teens.

I was reminded today just how lucky I am to surround myself with the most wonderful kids that make up our camp community! Thank you camp families for the experience of watching these incredible humans grow each year.

Something about our little community is catching on and we have a lot of new families joining us this year.
Please be sure to register for this summer as soon as you can. It really helps me to allocate kids around and make for a much better camp experience for everyone.

I cant wait to see all of our Bear Creek Kids this summer!
