The Swan or should I say I have promised Manorbrook School we will raise 12k by the end of August a tough challenge but we did it for Ezzy so we can do it again!!!! There are a few events in the pipeline watch out for updates on ticket sales and help us support Manor Brook School. The school needs an additional 30 ipdas each costing £400 each, we have so far £625 so a long long way to go !!!!

We are seeking either a full-time or part-time cook ideally with experience but not essential just willing to learn we would also consider a student who has finished Catering College and is looking for the first run on the ladder. The role will either be 2 part-time positions or one full-time person working 5 days out of 7 for a full-time role. The position is starting immediately subject to the reference checks. Love Thornbury is pleased to announce the next family fun day on Saturday 4th May. Hopefully, the weather will be kind to us, unlike last weekend. The Swan is seeking bar staff who will be responsible for serving drinks, taking payments, showing people to the bed and breakfast, taking food orders, and taking food to the tables as well as joining in with the team with the cleaning rota. The position is to start immediately, in return, we will give BII staff training, food during shifts plus other benefits. The reason for seeking additional staff is the business is growing Mark has gone into retirement and Dan who is full time is traveling in mid-March. Tonight is Harvey's first fundraising night we are playing prize bingo you will receive Swan vouchers instead of cash and all the cash will be donated to the target of £3500 which we are aiming for by the end of the month. Anyone over 18 can play so if you want to help Harvey hit his ambition and get to raise enough money to represent the UK in the world kick boxing championships then come to The Swan - Harvey is just 12 years old !!!!!! what an amazing opportunity for him!!!!

Alzheimers Dementia charity night tickets are available from behind the bar as of 1st August, they will sell out !!!!

Bernie Scoot is back with us 1st September raising money for Alzheimer's / Dementia in memory of Mathew who would have been 32 this September.

I have managed to get the tickets ready ahead of schedule so if you want to get them I wouldn't delay and they must be bought in advance and will be available from the bar, please can you purchase them with cash as the majority of the money will be donated to charity on the just giving page.

Thornbury will be celebrating the Queen's Jubilee on Friday 3rd June with a high street party there will be stalls, vintage cars tractors live music street food provided by local businesses, and much more. Come and celebrate the Jubilee at Thornbury High Street. If any local people school charities etc would like to have a stall or help please contact either myself or Zoe Galbrieth

I am sorry to say that the old account for Swan Thornbury is no longer available as there is a problem with me being able to post from the desktop you can still view the old account and I still have access to the old account but only on my mobile - a real pain as the old account has all the details of all the events and the history for the last 10 years but this account will now replace the old account I am well and truly gutted about this...
