I really need to do this much more often to spread out all the amazing pictures from the past 10 days or so!! Some amazing wildlife, giant Pike, a really huge Walleye, a big Lake Trout and some of our favorite guests of all time!!

Well I'm a bit behind on getting some amazing fish pictures out! The fish have really turned on over the past few days with multiple trophies daily and some absolutely incredible numbers like 7 trophy Pike in my boat in one day, 10 more trophy Pike between W***y and Brady's boats another day and 8 trophy Pike in Rico's boat all in the same day!!! Rico also helped his guests land a bunch more from 35-40 inches that same day!! I took one cast at the top of the East Rapids last night a pulled in a nice 31 inch Lake Trout on a Walleye Jig...we had to stop in there after Bear Baiting for our hunter who arrived today. I really hope she gets a shot at the beautiful Cinnamon Bear at our North Bait site or maybe one of the wolves coming to the West Site! Weather and water levels are improving daily!! The guys at Joint and Aswap Lake Outpost camps have also being doing well catching lots of great fish!!

Well our season is fully on now! Our first outpost groups got into Aswap and Joint Lake over the past 2 days and at the lodge we have 20 guests out fishing now! Everything is nicely set up, now we just need some better weather but sadly I think we're going to see some snow before it warms up in a couple of days. The new carpet, flooring and baseboards have been installed in the lodge and we have some nice new chairs around the firepit so hopefully the wind will stay calm in the evenings for bonfires. Our lakes are slowly rising from the winter thaw and all the rain we've had lately, we're up a good 6 inches from when we first arrived so it's still low but not as bad as it was. The Pike and Walleye are easy to find right now, hopefully the guys will return today with some great Lake Trout pictures as well!

We are free of ice and it's almost too nice of a day to work! We're through with our freight haul and fuel haul, now we're installing the new carpet in the lodge, cutting firewood for our shorelunch spots, opening the outpost camps, setting up the guest cabins and launching boats!

My phone has been lost to the Red River, if you're trying to contact me, use FB messenger for the next couple of days until I get a new phone. Pretty sure I've lost all my contacts and photos etc, hopefully I get the same phone number again. On the bright side, it was a nice flight up to the lodge and I have lots of work to do and I won't be distracted by my phone.

We made it to the lodge today and we've been busy getting things set up. The water is still very low but it's up a couple of inches from when I left in the fall and I see signs that it might come up some more. The ice will not last, we landed on floats in the back bay and there are areas of open water and cracks in the ice around the front side of the lodge. Freight and fuel hauling start this weekend!
